​COVID-19 Update

Cornerstone United Methodist Church has returned to in-person Worship, however Online Worship is still an available option for everyone.

Guidelines for In-person Worship
  • Masks are recommended
  • Please use either the parking lot or Lyon Street doors to enter.
  • Hand sanitizer is located throughout the building. Please use it upon entering.
  • ​Attendance will be taken by the greeters at the doors.
  • Chairs are spaced further apart in the back of the sanctuary. 
  • Two rows of pews are blocked off between rows. Please sit in the open pews.
  • There is a 6-foot movable barrier in each pew to keep distance between groups of people.
  • Tables have been removed from the Upper Room and are chairs set up for extra seating.​
  • We will not be singing as a group, but will have music.
  • ​We will not have coffee time.

Online Worship
On Sundays, at 9:30 am you can watch the message online through Facebook Live. Or watch it later in the church's YouTube video archive. 
Worshiping at Cornerstone United Methodist Church
We swing wide the doors of Cornerstone United Methodist Church and welcome all to join us. We invite you to Worship with us each Sunday and to join us for any of our activities during the week. Cornerstone is a friendly, welcoming place. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you are always welcome. Be comfortable. Jeans, shorts, business casual are all very appropriate.

Where To Find Us

Cornerstone United Methodist Church is located on the corner of 4th Street and W. Lyon Street near downtown Marshall. A gravel parking lot is located behind the building, accessible via the 4th Street alley. Our building is handicapped accessible. To use the elevator park on W. Lyon Street and use the main entrance at the front of the building.

Families Are Always Welcome

Families and children are always welcome at Cornerstone United Methodist Church. Activity bags are available each week for use during the service.

Children's Church is held during our morning Worship Service for Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Children are invited to worship with their parents during the first portion of the service and will be dismissed for Children's Church before the message begins. Parents can pick up their children in the Upper Room following Worship.

A staffed nursery is located near the back of the Worship Area. Nursery staff will stay with your young child(ren), birth to age 4, while you participate in worship.

Watch Our Services

Not able to attend our Sunday morning service? All of our worship services are recorded and can be viewed online as a Live Stream at the time of our service or watched online anytime from our archive of services. Services are also broadcast four times a week on the local cable stations.

TV broadcasts are Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. on Charter channel 180 and Vast channel 17.
Volunteer Opportunities

Ruby's Pantry - Food Distribution on the first Thursday of each month at the National Guard Armory in Marshall

Loaves & Fishes - Prepare and serve food the first Tuesday of each month, 3:00-5:00 p.m. or 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Christ Presbyterian Church in Marshall

Marshall Food4Kids - Monthly Pre-Set Up, Set Up and Packing

Meals on Wheels - Five routes for a two week period in October and April each year

Wednesday Family Nights - Serving the evening meal to children and families attending the Wednesday evening activities at Cornerstone

Sunday Mornings - Volunteers for Greeters, Ushers and Fellowship Servers are always welcome at Cornerstone
