Eunice Johnson was my wife’s mother and my mother in law. She passed away on Sunday, July 30 around 7 PM at the age of 94. She had been battling Parkinson’s disease for over 15 years. She grew up in the 1920’s and the 1930’s, the daughter (one of six children) of strict but loving parents. She lived through the Great Depression and served as Rosie the Riveter at a Boeing plant in Seattle, Washington during WWII making B-17’s.
Eunice was taught from a young age, by her Norwegian Lutheran Pastor Father, to love and serve God, her family and others, and that’s exactly what she did!!! She gave her life away loving and serving others. I feel incredibly blessed to of married Eunice and Alvin’s oldest daughter Jeanie (on this day in 1980). They built the kind of love and faith for God into their three children that lasts a lifetime. Proverbs 13:22 reads: Good people leave their children and their grandchildren an inheritance. I’m so grateful for the inheritance of love and faith that Eunice left behind for her family. May she rest in peace in the presence of her Savior.
Peace & Joy!
