One HUGE thing this city boy discovered very quickly upon moving to Marshall this summer was ~ there is a lot of really good soil in Southwest Minnesota! Of course, I was vaguely aware of this, but moving here in June we were stunned to see the lush green fields of corn and soy beans extending as far as the eye can see. We have marveled at the abundance of God’s blessings on this land.
Also, it’s been fun to learn a little about farming from many of you, and then to pass those choice pieces of
recently gleaned agricultural information onto my family and friends who come to visit us. So please keep those tidbits of info coming in my direction. I need all the help I can get to impress my family with my (very limited) agricultural expertise!
I was recently talking with Art & Muriel Cadwell about the gigantic zucchini that they grew in their garden. When I asked him how he managed to grow such a huge zucchini Art replied, “I just planted
the seed and God did the rest of the work to grow this monster!”
God wants to bear fruit for His kingdom through our church and through your life. The best way to bear fruit for His kingdom is to go around planting seeds of the Kingdom wherever you go, seeds of God’s mercy ~ grace ~ love and forgiveness. God will cause those seeds to come to fruition to produce Monster Fruit for His Kingdom in His time!
Peace & Joy!
